The Effect of Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery Technology Combined with Neurophysiological Monitoring in the Treatment of Brainstem Cavernous Hemangioma

Abstract: Objective To analyze the curative effect of minimally invasive neurosurgery technique combined with neurophysiological monitoring on brainstem cavernous hemangioma. Methods 30 patients with brainstem cavernous hemangioma admitted to Linyi Central Hospital from January 2018 to January 2021 were selected and divided into control group (traditional brain microsurgery) and experimental group (minimally invasive neurosurgery technique + neurosurgery Electrophysiological monitoring) according to the random number table method, 15 patients in each group. The clinical efficacy, operation time, hospitalization time, the activities of daily living and functional status, the functional status of body and the Glasgow Outcome Scale (GOS) of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). The operation time and hospital stay in the experimental group were significantly shorter than those in the control group (P<0.05). The postoperative activities of daily living (ADL) in the experimental group were significantly shorter. The scores and functional status (KPS) scores were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). The postoperative GOS scores in the control group accounted for 40.00% of the scores from 1 to 3, 60.00% from 4 to 5, and 6.67% and 93.33% in the experimental group respectively, and there was a significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05). Conclusion Micro-invasive neurosurgery technology combined with nerve electrophysiology monitoring brainstem cavernous hemangioma has a significant curative effect, can effectively promote the recovery of the patient's body, improve the ability of daily activities and functional status, and has a significant effect on improving the quality of life and sleep quality,with high safety and significantly clinical reference.
