Objective Through the Neo4j knowledge graph, explore the "medication" pattern of traditional Chinese medicine in treating ulcerative colitis. Method Retrieve clinical research literature on the treatment of ulcerative colitis with traditional Chinese medicine from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) database from January 1, 2020 to December 1, 2024. Collect data on traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions, syndrome types, combined traditional Chinese medicine operations, and combined Western medicine. Perform statistical analysis on the properties, flavors, meridians, and efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine in the prescription data. Perform frequency, frequency, and weighted frequency statistics on all data. Calculate the weight, confidence, and enhancement of the relationship between traditional Chinese medicine oral formulas, traditional Chinese medicine enema formulas, and traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions themselves. Then import the data into the Neo4j graph database. Result A total of 242 valid data were collected, and the oral Chinese medicines with a frequency of≥50% included Atractylodes macrocephala, Coptis chinensis, and Paeonia lactiflora; The enema herbs with a frequency of ≥50% include Bai Ji and Huang Bai; The only type of syndrome with a frequency of ≥10% is damp heat in the large intestine; Other operations with a frequency of ≥10% include moxibustion, acupuncture, ear acupressure, and acupoint embedding; The only Western medicine with a frequency of ≥10% is mesalazine. After importing the knowledge graph, the relationship between traditional Chinese medicine oral formulas that meet the criteria of frequency ≥10%, confidence ≥65%, improvement≥1, and ranked first in descending order of previously placed word frequency is from Paeonia lactiflora to Atractylodes macrocephala; The relationship between traditional Chinese medicine enema formula and traditional Chinese medicine enema formula is Bai Ji → Huang Bai; The top 5 in terms of meridian frequency are spleen, liver, stomach, lungs, and large intestine; The top 5 in terms of frequency of medicinal properties are cold, warm, flat, cool, and hot; The top 5 medicinal flavors are bitter, sweet, spicy, astringent, and sour; The top 5 efficacy frequencies for splitting are detoxification, clearing heat, relieving pain, drying dampness, and stopping bleeding. Conclusion The analysis using the Neo4j knowledge graph reveals the "pairing drug" patterns in TCM for treating UC. The oral herbs Atractylodes, Peony, and Coptis, along with the enema herbs Bletilla and Phellodendron, were frequently used. The Spleen, Liver, Stomach, and Large Intestine meridians were commonly involved in the treatment process. This study provides a theoretical basis for TCM in the treatment of UC and offers clinical reference for drug selection.

Objective To investigate the expression of cytological examination and tumor markers in patients with lung cancer accompanied by pleural effusion, and their clinical significance, to provide a basis for the diagnosis of malignant tumors. Methods A total of 90 patients with lung tumors accompanied by pleural effusion who were treated at Taian Cancer Prevention and Treatment Hospital from June 2018 to June 2023 were selected for this study. All patients underwent cytological examination and tests for carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), carbohydrate antigen 125 (CA125), carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (CA19-9), and neuron-specific enolase (NSE). According to the gold standard of pathological examination through surgery or biopsy, the 90 patients were divided into a benign lung tumor group(48 cases) and a lung cancer group (42 cases). The cytological detection rates, levels of tumor markers, and positive expression rates were compared between the two groups. The diagnostic efficacy of cytological examination of pleural effusion, tumor markers, and combined detection for malignant pleural effusion was compared using ROC curves. Results In the lung cancer group, the levels of CEA, CA19-9, NSE, and CA125 in pleural effusion were significantly higher than those in the benign lung tumor group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). All 90 patients with tumor-associated pleural effusion underwent cytological examination; among the lung cancer patients, tumor cells were detected in 32 out of 42 cases (76.19%), with 22 diagnosed upon the first submission and 10 diagnosed after two or more submissions, while the remaining 10 cases did not show tumor cells. No tumor cells were detected in the 48 patients with benign lesions. The combined detection showed the highest diagnostic value (area under the curve [AUC]=0.889), followed by tumor marker detection (AUC=0.767) and cytological detection (AUC=0.881)(P<0.05). Conclusion The combination of cytological examination and tumor markers in pleural effusion is more beneficial for the diagnosis of patients with lung cancer accompanied by pleural effusion.
