Objective To analyze the effect of exercise training in elderly patients with chronic heart failure (CHF) complicated with sarcopenia. Methods A total of 80 elderly patients with CHF complicated with sarcopenia from January 2019 to December 2020 in the Department of General Medicine, People's Hospital of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region were included as research samples and grouped by random number table method, of which 40 patients were the control group and received drug treatment . The other 40 cases were in the observation group, on the basis of drug treatment, exercise training guidance was added. The left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), Minnesota Heart Failure Quality of Life Scale (MLHFQ) score, skeletal muscle mass index (SMI), gait speed (GS), grip strength (HS), 5 sit-ups test time (5STS) and differences in efficacy. Results Before the intervention, there was no significant difference in the levels of LVEF, SMI, GS, HS, 5STS and MLHFQ scores between the two groups (P>0.05). After the intervention, the levels of LVEF, SMI, GS, and HS in the observation group were higher than those in the control group. The 5STS and MLHFQ scores in the two groups were lower than those in the control group, and the LVEF, SMI, GS, and HS levels in the two groups after the intervention were higher than those before the intervention, and the 5STS and MLHFQ scores were lower than those before the intervention, and the differences were as follows: Statistical significance (P<0.05). The treatment effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Exercise training therapy for elderly patients with CHF and sarcopenia can effectively improve the body's cardiac function and skeletal muscle function, and the therapeutic effect is ideal.
