Abstract: Objective To explore the application effect of hierarchical chain based medical care collaborative nursing in the treatment of pediatric rotavirus (RV) enteritis. Methods A total of 86 children with RV enteritis admitted to Laiyang Central Hospital in Yantai City from July 2022 to July 2023 were randomly divided into two groups with 43 cases each. The control group received routine care, while the research group received hierarchical chain medical and nursing collaborative care. Compare the nursing effectiveness, compliance, clinical indicators, and nursing satisfaction between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of nursing in the research group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). The compliance of children in the research group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). The research group showed lower fever reduction, disappearance of diarrhea, cessation of vomiting, and hospital stay compared to the control group (P<0.05). The satisfaction scores of nursing skills, health education, psychological care, service attitude, and treatment effectiveness among the family members of the research group were higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The hierarchical chain of medical and nursing collaborative care has a significant nursing effect in pediatric RV enteritis. It can not only improve the patient's nursing compliance, promote the disappearance of symptoms, reduce hospitalization time, but also improve the satisfaction of the patient's family and promote early recovery of the patient.
