Research Progress on the Impact of Traditional Exercise Therapies on Cardiopulmonary Function

Abstract: Cardiopulmonary function is the core of human function, and traditional martial arts can effectively improve the cardiopulmonary function of elderly and chronic patient groups. This article reviews the importance of cardiopulmonary function, the level of cardiopulmonary function affecting mortality, the impact of cardiopulmonary function on disease occurrence and development, the promotion of disease recovery by improving cardiopulmonary function, and exercise as an effective way to improve cardiopulmonary function. The latest progress in applying traditional martial arts in the elderly and chronic patient group is also presented. And propose the future direction of enhancing the development of cardiopulmonary function through traditional exercises to provide ideas for further clinical applications.
