Abstract: Objective To compare the clinical efficacy of individualized treatment assisted by 3D printing technology and conventional treatment of trimalleolar fracture in the follow-up of 3 months after operation. Methods Patients with trimalleolar fractures who were hospitalized for surgical treatment in our hospital from June 21, 2019 to June 20, 2021 were enrolled.According to the surgical plan, the patients were divided into the control group (conventional treatment) and the observation group (3D printing technology-assisted personalized treatment). The operation and recovery of ankle function at 3 months were compared in the two groups. Results A total of 50 patients were included in the study, including 25 patients in the control group and 25 patients in the observation group. The operation time, hospitalization time and starting activity time of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The intraoperative blood loss of the observation group was less than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The ankle function was better than the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion 3D printing technology assisted in the treatment of trimalleolar fractures can promote the recovery of ankle joint activity, shorten the operation time and hospitalization time, reduce the amount of bleeding, and early rehabilitation activities.
