Abstract: Objective Exploring the clinical efficacy evaluation of self-made Fengxuan Formula cooperate with Western medicine in the treatment of primary hypertension with liver yang hyperactivity type. Methods From October 2020 to September 2022, 100 patients with primary hypertension who met the criteria Chengdu University of TCM Cardiovascular Department 2 Outpatient were assigned into research group and control group on the basis of the table of random number, 50 cases were fit into each group. The control group was given Western medicine, and another was grant Fengxuan Decoction combined with conventional Western medicine. After 12 weeks, Compare total effective rate,Side effects and 24-hour mean blood pressure level of the two groups. Results Before treatment,there was no statistically significant difference in 24-hour average systolic and diastolic blood pressure between the study group and the control group (P>0.05). After treatment, the total effective rate of the study group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the result was statistically significant (P<0.05). The 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure systolic and diastolic blood pressure of the study group were lower than those of the control group.Relatively statistically significant (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in adverse reactions incidence rate between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion on the foundatin of Western medicine, adding self-made Fengxuan Decoction in the treatment of primary hypertension with hyperactivity of liver yang can notable improve the effective rate and amplitude of blood pressure reduction, which can be applied to clinical practice.
