Abstract: Objective To investigate the effect of Shenqi Jiangtang Capsule and Mecobalamin on diabetes Peripheral Neuropathy. Methods Selected 136 cases of patients with diabetes Peripheral Neuropathy who were treated in our hospital from January 2020 to December 2022, divided into two groups randomly. The control group was treated with mecobalamin, while the observation group was treated with Shenqi Jiangtang capsule combined with mecobalamin. Both groups were treated for 2 months.The scores of were evaluated, and the levels of serum C-peptide (C-P), insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1), endothelin-1 (ET-1) and cystatin (Cys-C) were measured. Results The effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of muscle atrophy, limb pain, limb numbness, hypoesthesia and limb cooling symptoms in the two groups were significantly lower (P<0.05), and the scores of muscle atrophy, limb pain, limb numbness, hypoesthesia and limb cooling symptoms in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of serum C-P, IGF-1 were significantly increased (P<0.05), and the levels of serum ET-1 and Cys-C were significantly decreased (P<0.05). The levels of serum C-P, IGF-1 in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05), and the levels of serum ET-1 and Cys-C were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion shenqi Jiangtang Capsule combined with mecobalamin has a significant effect on diabetes peripheral neuropathy and can significantly alleviate symptoms. Its mechanism may be related to the increase of serum neurotrophic factor levels and the decrease of ET-1 and Cys-C levels.
