Abstract: As one of the important processes of medical education after graduation, residential training is an important part of improving clinicians’ theoretical knowledge, practical ability and humanistic quality, cultivating medical talents with higher standards for medical and health undertakings, and continuously improving the quality of medical care in China. The appropriate assessment and evaluation mode to evaluate the quality of residential training is at the core of the standardized training system for resident doctors. Therefore, in order to meet the needs of the country and the people for high-quality medical talents, it is a general trend to explore a diversified evaluation system based on core competency training and evaluate the quality of residential training more comprehensively. This paper puts forward corresponding coping strategies by expounding the current status of the residential training assessment and evaluation system, reviewing relevant literature, and combining the experience of residential training assessment and evaluation in our hospital.
