Abstract: Objective To explore the clinical value of high-resolution computed tomography (Computed Tomography, CT) combined with texture analysis in the diagnosis of lung cancer. Methods A prospective study was conducted on 100 suspected lung cancer patients who visited hospitals from Chifeng City Cancer Hospital in January 2021 to December 2023. All patients underwent high-resolution CT combined with texture analysis and histopathological biopsy. The histopathological biopsy results were used as the gold standard to compare the diagnostic value of high-resolution CT alone and in combination with texture analysis for lung cancer. Results 63 out of 100 highly suspected lung cancer patients were confirmed to have lung cancer through histopathological examination, accounting for 63.00% (63/100). Histopathological examination was used as the gold standard, the detection rate of lung cancer using high-resolution CT was 74.60% (47/63), and the detection rate of lung cancer using high-resolution CT combined with texture analysis was 92.06% (58/63). The sensitivity, accuracy, and negative predictive value of high-resolution CT combined with texture segmentation in diagnosing lung cancer were higher than those of high-resolution CT alone, with statistical significant differences (P<0.05). The consistency between the combined examination and the gold standard for diagnosing lung cancer was the highest, with a Kappa value of 0.785. Conclusion The accuracy of high-resolution CT combined with texture analysis for lung cancer is higher than that of high-resolution CT alone, and it has better consistency with the gold standard, making it more valuable for application.
