Abstract: Objective To explore and analyze the application of staged lumbar motion chain training combined with rapid rehabilitation intervention in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation. Methods A random number table method was used to divide 108 patients with lumbar disc herniation admitted from March 2020 to May 2022 into groups, with 54 cases in each group. The control group received routine rehabilitation intervention, while the observation group received additional lumbar motion chain staging training. The visual analogue scale (VAS), ODI index, SF-36 scale score, multifidus muscle cross-sectional area, and gait results of the two groups before and after rehabilitation intervention were compared. Results Compared with the two groups before and after rehabilitation intervention, the VAS score, ODI index, SF-36 scale score, multifidus cross-section area and gait support comparison value were lower. Compared with the control group after rehabilitation intervention, the observation group had lower VAS score, lower ODI index, higher SF-36 scale score, higher multifidus cross-section area and higher gait support comparison value, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion On the basis of routine rehabilitation intervention, adding lumbar spine motion chain staging training to patients with lumbar disc herniation can effectively alleviate pain, improve limb dysfunction, and promote the recovery of lower limb function, improving their quality of life.
