Clinical Observation of Chaihu add Longgu Oyster Decoction in the Treatment of Children with Tourette Syndrome of Hyperactivity of Heart and Liver Fire

Abstract: Objective To observe clinical effects of Chaihu add Longgu oyster decoction in the treatment of children with Tourette syndrome of hyperactivity of heart and liver fire. Methods eighty patients were divided into the observation group and the control group by using random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated by Tiapride, and the observation group by oral Chinese medicine. Compare the YGTSS scores, TCM syndrome point and adverse reactions after 12 weeks treatment between the two groups. Results After 12 weeks of treatment, the YGTSS scores in the two groups were lower than the before treatment(P<0.05). The effective rate in the observation group was 85.00%, no different 90.00% of the control group(P>0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions of the treatment group was 2.50%, lower than the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion Chaihu add Longgu oyster decoction could treat the children of tourette syndrome with tics and heart-liver fire syndrome, while lower incidence of adverse reactions.
