Abstract: Objective To investigate the effect of TCM cluster management mode intervention on patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Methods 120 stable COPD patients were randomly divided into two groups. a total of 117 cases were finalized. The control group received general management mode, while the observation group was given TCM cluster management mode. Comparisons were made between two groups in terms of the score of COPD knowledge, frequency of acute exacerbation of COPD, modified Medical Research Council dyspnea scale,COPD assessment test, lung function parameters. Results The grasp of COPD knowledge was higher than those before the intervention in both groups, and observation group were higher than control group (P<0.05). The frequency of AECOPD, the mMRC and CAT scores were lower than those before the intervention in both groups, and observation group were lower than control group (P<0.05). After the intervention,FEV1pre% and FEV1/FVC in the observation group were higher than those before the intervention, while those in the control group were lower than those before the intervention. Conclusion TCM cluster management mode may contribute to the grasp of COPD knowledge, improvement of clinical symptoms, quality of life,as well as the reduction of possibility of acute exacerbation in stable COPD patients.
