Abstract: Objective To systematically evaluate the clinical effect of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine in the treatment of cerebral infarction by meta-analysis. Methods Using “cerebral infarction”, “ischemic stroke”, “integration of traditional Chinese and Western medicine”, “randomized controlled trials (RCTs)” as key words, data were collected in the Chinese Science and Technology Periodical Database (VIP) and Wanfang Database (WFD), China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), and China Biomedical Literature Database (CBM). The retrieval period ranged from January 2017 to January 2022, and relevant and valid original data in the literature were obtained, and the quality of the literature was evaluated by RveMan5.3 software. At the same time, RveMan5.3 was used for data analysis, which was evaluated by sensitivity analysis. The stability of the literature results, and the use of funnel plots to assess the possible publication bias of the literature. Results A total of 1447 Chinese literatures were retrieved in this study. According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, a total of 9 literatures were included in this Meta-analysis. The heterogeneity test indicated that there was moderate heterogeneity among the studies, and a random effect model was used to determine the effect size. There was no heterogeneity between studies after Xiong Haitao 2017 was removed by sensitivity analysis, and the fixed effect model was used to merge the total effect value, and the combined RR (95%CI) was 1.22 (1.14, 1.30). The clinical effect of cerebral infarction was better than that of simple western medicine treatment (Z=5.91, P<0.001). In addition, the funnel plot showed that the left and right sides were basically symmetrical, suggesting that the publication bias may be small. Conclusion In clinical treatment, the clinical effect of the integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine treatment plan is better than the simple western medicine treatment plan.
