The Effect of the Ideological and Political Teaching of the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology Based on the Concept of OBE Applied to the Trainees

Abstract: Objective To analyze the impact of teaching rheumatology and immunology trainee civics based on the concept of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) on the learning effect of trainees. Methods Thirty rheumatology and immunology trainees from January 2022 to December 2022 were selected as the control group by retrospective analysis, and conventional teaching was implemented, while 31 rheumatology and immunology trainees from January 2023 to December 2023 were set as the experimental group, and Civics teaching based on the concept of OBE was carried out, and the theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and learning effects of OBE on the trainees in the two groups were analyzed. groups' theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and satisfaction, and assessed the trainees' thinking ability using the Critical Thinking Disability Inventory (CTDI-CV). Results The scores of theoretical knowledge and practical operation skills in OBE group were higher than those in traditional group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Before teaching, there was no significant difference in CTDI-CV scores between the two groups (P>0.05). After teaching, CTDI-CV scores in both groups were higher than before teaching, and OBE group was higher than traditional group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The scores of teaching content, teaching method, teaching attitude, teaching effect and ideological education integration in OBE group were higher than traditional group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The OBE concept of civic teaching can be of high value in improving the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of rheumatology and immunology traineeship, which can not only achieve good critical thinking skills, but also effectively improve the satisfaction of teaching.
