The Impact of the Continuous Improvement Model of Nursing Quality on the First Aid Skills and Emergency Response Capabilities of Young Nurses in Emergency Department

Abstract: Objective To explore the impact of the continuous improvement model of nursing quality adopted by young nurses in emergency department on their first aid skills and emergency response capabilities. Methods A total of 25 young nurses who worked at the emergency department of Binzhou Central Hospital from October 2021 to October 2022 were selected as the control group (did not implement the continuous improvement model of nursing quality), and a total of 25 young nurses who worked at the emergency department from November 2022 to November 2023 were selected as the study group (implemented the continuous improvement model of nursing quality). The nursing quality, occupational burnout, emergency skills, and emergency response ability in both groups were compared. Results In comparision of the control group, the nursing quality of the study group was higher (P<0.05), the depersonalization and emotional exhaustion scores were lower (P<0.05), the personal achievement scores were higher (P<0.05), the first aid skill score was higher (P<0.05), the emergency response ability score was higher (P<0.05). Conclusion The continuous improvement model of nursing quality adopted by young nurses in emergency department can effectively improve nursing quality, alleviate nurse burnout, enhance their emergency skills and emergency response capabilities.
