Exploring the Development of the Intermingling of Yi Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine in the Yuxi Region

Abstract: Yi medicine is one of China's intangible cultural heritages, which has a similar philosophical basis and treatment concepts with Chinese medicine, and there are many similarities between the two in clinical practice. This paper explores the commonalities and differences between Yi medicine and Chinese medicine through a comparative analysis of the two, and analyzes the advantages and problems in the development of the intermingling of Yi medicine and Chinese medicine in Yuxi. It proposes strategies to strengthen the intermingling development of Yi medicine and traditional Chinese medicine(TCM), aiming to promote the inheritance and development of Yi medicine in Yuxi, as well as the exchange and cooperation between TCM and local medicine.
