Analysis of Dried Fruit Taste Efficacy and Health Preservation Application in Compendium of Materia Medica

Abstract: “Compendium of Materia Medica” is the precious heritage of ancient Chinese medicine and botany. The book contains 19 kinds of dried fruits. It is found that dried fruits have the characteristics of flat and warm, sweet or bitter taste, and can supplement and reap astringent. Modern studies at home and abroad have found that the modern ingredients of dried fruit are rich in protein, fat, carbohydrates and multiple vitamins, etc. Combining traditional medicine with modern medicine, this paper analyzes and summarizes the choice and condications suitable for different people to eat dried fruit, such as cough, insomnia, forgetfulness, diarrhea, constipation, etc. In order to provide a useful reference for the in-depth study of “Compendium of Materia Medica”, the application of dried fruit in health and the development of dried fruit products in China.
