Abstract: Objective To explore the application effect of traction combined with rehabilitation exercises in the rehabilitation treatment of patients with lumbar disc herniation. Methods A total of 100 patients with LDH admitted to the Department of Orthopedic Trauma of the Third People's Hospital of Longgang District, from June 2022 to June 2023 were selected for the study. All patients were divided into the control group and the observation group randomly with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with traction, and the observation group was treated with rehabilitation exercises on the basis of the control group. The two groups were treated for 12 weeks, and the total effective rates of the two groups were compared with the Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA) Lower Back Pain Score, Visual Analog Synthesis (VAS) Score, Self-Assessment Scale for Anxiety (SAS), Self-Assessment Scale for Depression (SDS) Score, and the total effective rates of the two groups before and after the treatment. Results The total effective rate and JOA score of the observation group after treatment were higher than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The VAS score, SAS and SDS scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group after treatment and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Traction combined with rehabilitation exercises can more effectively relieve lumbar pain symptoms in patients with lumbar disc herniation, reduce the overall pain problem of the patient, and better regulate the patient's anxiety, depression and other negative emotions due to the disease and pain, the treatment is more efficient.
