Methods A total of 72 patients with peripheral facial palsy with wind-cold attack admitted to the Acupuncture Department of Hubei Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from October 2023 to July 2024 were selected as the study subjects, and were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the method of randomised numerical table, with 36 cases in each group. On the basis of evidence-based care, the control group was treated with conventional acupuncture, and the observation group was treated with acupuncture combined with integrated moxibustion with dragon pots.H-B grade, FDI score and clinical efficacy were compared before and after intervention. Results After 4 weeks±2 days of intervention,H-B score of observation group was better than control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).after intervention, the FDI score was better in the observation group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The clinical effect was significantly better than that of the observation group (P<0.05). Conclusion Acupuncture combined with integrated moxibustion with fire dragon pot is beneficial to promote the recovery of facial nerve function in patients with peripheral facial paralysis of wind-cold attack type and improve the cure rate, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
