Abstract: Objective To study and analyze the intervention effect of oral functional rehabilitation nursing on salivation in children with cerebral palsy. Method A total of 80 children with cerebral palsy and salivation admitted to Nanhai District Maternal and Child Health Hospital in Foshan City, Guangdong Province from August 2023 to February 2024 were randomly divided into an observation group (n=40, receiving oral function rehabilitation care) and a control group (n=40, receiving routine care). Compare the intervention effects, fine motor activity rate, developmental quotient, and swallowing function between the two groups. Result The total effective rate and fine activity rate of the observation group were higher than those of the control group (P<0.05); There was no difference (P>0.05) in the scores of the Gesell Infant Development Scale, Oral, Pharyngeal, and Esophageal Stages before intervention. After intervention, both groups showed changes in the above scores. The observation group had higher scores on the Gesell Infant Development Scale than the control group, while the DDS scores at each stage were lower than the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Oral function rehabilitation nursing can promote the development of children with cerebral palsy who salivate, improve swallowing function, and improve fine motor ability.
