Abstract: For a patient with persistent pain in the waist and back after prostate cancer surgery accompanied by bone metastasis, traditional Chinese medicine external treatment was adopted for nursing intervention in the case of difficulty in effectively relieving pain by pure Western medicine pain relief treatment and palliative radiotherapy, while also maintaining Western medicine medication pain relief treatment. Three traditional Chinese medicine methods were mainly used, including: ①Applying ear acupoint pressure pills to the ear acupoint reaction points related to cancer pain to suppress sustained basic pain and explosive pain;②Selecting Taichong, Hegu, Neiguan, Qimen, and Zusanli for moxibustion to resolve the cold coagulation block caused by cancer;③Applying self-made traditional Chinese medicine acupoints to the pain points Ashi and dialectical acupoints to relieve persistent and stubborn pain. Through the combined nursing of traditional Chinese and Western medicine, the patient’ s cancerous burst pain and basic pain have been suppressed.
