Abstract: Objective To explore the effects of electroacupuncture combined with acupoints Mu on Fas/FasL conduction pathway in mice with chronic Atrophic gastritis, and reveal the mechanism of electroacupuncture in treating chronic Atrophic gastritis. Methods The mouse model of chronic Atrophic gastritis were established. The modeled chronic Atrophic gastritis mice were divided into the model group of 10 cases, the common acupuncture group of 20 cases, and the electroacupuncture group of 20 cases, and another 10 cases of the control group. The control group and model group were not operated; The ordinary acupuncture group were treated with combined acupuncture at acupoints (Zhongwan Zusanli); The electroacupuncture group were treated with acupoint combination (Zhongwan Zusanli) electroacupuncture. Immunohistochemical methods were used to detect the levels of Fas and FasL in the gastric tissues of each groups of mice. Results The body weight of the ordinary acupuncture group, electroacupuncture group, and model group before treatment were significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.05). After 14 days of treatment, the body weight of the ordinary acupuncture group and electroacupuncture group were higher than that of the model group (P<0.05). There were no significant difference in body weight between the electroacupuncture group and the control group after 14 days of treatment (P>0.05). Serum IL-6 and IL-1β in the ordinary acupuncture group, electroacupuncture group, and model group before treatment were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). After 14 days of treatment, the serum IL-6 and IL-1β levels in the ordinary acupuncture group and the electroacupuncture group were significantly higher than those in the control group, and were lower than that of the model group (P<0.05), and the serum IL-6 and IL-1β levels in the ordinary acupuncture group after 14 days of treatment were lower than those in the model group (P<0.05), There were no significant difference in the electroacupuncture group of treatment compared to the control group (P>0.05). After 14 days of treatment, the histopathological score of Gastric mucosa and the relative expression level of Fas protein and FasL protein of mucosa in the ordinary acupuncture group, the electroacupuncture group and the control group were lower than those in the model group (P<0.05), and there were no significant difference compared between the electroacupuncture group and the control group (P>0.05). Conclusion The application of electroacupuncture in chronic Atrophic gastritis mice can mediate the expression of Fas/FasL conduction pathway, and can inhibit the serum IL-6, IL-1 β The expression of can also promote the recovery of mouse weight and improve the pathological condition of the gastric mucosa in mice.
