Abstract: Objective To explore the physical activity status and influencing factors of elderly patients with chronic heart failure. Methods From June 2021 to December 2023, 204 elderly patients with chronic heart failure who were hospitalized in the Department of Geriatrics and Cardiology, First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University were selected. Physical activity (IPAQ), exercise fear scale for heart patients (TSK-SV Heart), quality of life rating scale (SF-36) and self-burden scale (SPBS) were used to investigate them. Single factor analysis used variance analysis, independent sample T test, and multivariate analysis used multiple linear regression analysis. Results The physical activity of 72% elderly patients with chronic heart failure was in the middle and low level. The results of correlation analysis show that age, family income, education level, heart failure degree, living condition, exercise fear degree, quality of life level and self-burden level are the influencing factors of physical activity of elderly patients (P<0.05). Conclusion The elderly patients with chronic heart failure have obvious lack of physical activity, and the influencing factors on their physical activity level are as follows, especially the elderly, serious heart failure, serious exercise fear, low quality of life and the heavier self-burden level.

Key words: elderly heart failure, physical activity, fear of exercise, quality of life, self-financing, influencing factor
