Abstract: Objective To explore and analysis the correlation between serum Thyroid hormones level and glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) in patients with chronic renal failure. Methods From February 2020 to July 2022, 50 cases of chronic renal failure patients who were diagnosed and treated in the Department of Nephrology and Rheumatology of Guizhou Aerospace Hospital were selected as the chronic renal failure group. And 42 cases of normal people who went to Guizhou Aerospace Hospital for physical examination in the same period were selected as the control group. The serum total thyroxine (TT4), serum total triiodothyronine (TT3), and serum free triiodothyronine (FT3) levels were detected in the two groups of patients, and the renal function indexes such as glomerular filtration rate were also determined for comparison. Pearson correlation analysis and multifactor logistic regression analysis were also performed. Results The levels of serum TT4、TT3、FT3 in the Chronic renal failure group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The glomerular filtration rate in the Chronic renal failure group were significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05), and the content of serum Blood urea nitrogen and serum creatinine were also significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). In the Chronic renal failure group, Pearson correlation analysis showed that glomerular filtration rate were correlated with serum TT4、TT3、FT3 (P<0.05). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that serum TT4、TT3、FT3 were important risk factors affecting glomerular filtration rate (P<0.05). Conclusion The patients with chronic renal failure are mostly accompanied by the decrease of serum TT4、TT3、FT3 and the glomerular filtration rate. The serum Thyroid hormones level is correlated with the glomerular filtration rate.
