Abstract: Objective To explore the application effects of traditional Chinese medicine scraping combined with ear acupoint pressing nursing in the treatment of high intraocular pressure caused by qi stagnation and blood stasis after vitrectomy. Methods A total of 96 patients with intraocular hypertension with qi stagnation and blood stasis after vitrectomy treated in Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2020 to December 2022 were selected as the study objects, and were divided into observation group (48 cases) and control group (48 cases) according to 1:1 random coin toss principle. The control group was given auricular point sticking care, and the observation group was given traditional Chinese medicine scraping care on the basis of the control group's care. The two groups were observed for 1 month, and the occurrence of IOP, vision, pain and adverse reactions were recorded in the two groups. Results After nursing, the total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05). After care, the IOP of both groups was lower than before care, and the optimal naked eye visual acuity was higher than before care (P<0.05), and the IOP of the observation group was lower and the optimal naked eye visual acuity was higher (P<0.05). After nursing, the pain NRS scores in both groups were lower than before nursing (P<0.05), and the decrease in observation group was greater (P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions such as insomnia, shoulder, neck and back pain, fatigue and discomfort in the observation group was significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of TCM Gua Sha combined with auricular point sticking nursing in the treatment of high IOP with qi stasis and blood stasis after vitrectomy can promote the reduction of IOP, improve the overall treatment effect, reduce the best naked eye vision, promote pain relief and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions.
