Effect of Rehabilitation Nursing on Swallowing Function and Quality of Life of Patients after Partial Laryngectomy

Abstract: Objective To explore the effect of rehabilitation nursing on swallowing function and quality of life in postoperative patients with laryngeal carcinoma. Methods A total of 62 patients with laryngeal carcinoma, who underwent partial laryngectomy in the Facial Sense Center of Weifang Hospital of Traditional Chinese medicine from January 2019 to October 2023 were randomly into the observation group and the control group, 31 cases in each group, the control group were given routine nursing, the observation group were given rehabilitation nursing. The emotional status, quality of life and swallowing function were assessed with MSSNS, Qlq-c30 and SSA before and after intervention, and compare the two groups of patients with complications. Results : after nursing, the scores of MSSNS, Qlq-c30 and SSA in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, the difference was significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of Rehabilitation Nursing in partial laryngectomy can improve the patients' psychological status, quality of life and swallowing function, and reduce the incidence of postoperative complications.
