Abstract: Objective To study the application of clinical nursing pathway in laparoscopic total extraperitoneal hernia repair (TEP) for inguinal hernia. Methods 98 cases of patients with inguinal hernia admitted to the Second People's Hospital of Huangmei County from May 2022 to July 2023 were selected as the study subjects, which were divided into control group and study group according to the random number table method, with 49 cases in each group.All the selected patients received TEP treatment,the postoperative control group was given routine care, and the research group gave the clinical care path. Comparing the postoperative clinical indexes, pain degree, complication rate and satisfaction degree of the two groups. Results Postoperative clinical indexes (time of anal exhaust, time out of bed and time in hospital) in the study group were shorter than those in the control group,statistically significant difference (P<0.05). The NRS score of the study group was lower than that of the control group, statistically significant difference (P<0.05). The total complication rate in the study group was lower than that in the control group, and it was significantly different (P<0.05). Nursing satisfaction was higher than the control group, significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The clinical nursing pathway can promote rehabilitation, relieve pain and prevent complications, and also has a positive effect on the satisfaction of patients.
