Analysis of 5 Cases of Malignant Tumor Complicated with Refeeding Syndrome

Abstract: Objective To explore the clinical characteristics of patients with malignant tumor complicated with refeeding syndrome. Methods Through the condition and nutritional risk assessment of 5 patients with malignant tumor complicated with refeeding syndrome, monitoring electrolyte and biochemistry, supplementing vitamin B1 and electrolyte according to the results,formulating personalized nutritional support treatment plan, and gradually increasing the amount of feeding. Results The hospitalization time of patients is 15-48 days, with a median of 32 days; 4 cases got better and 1 case was discharged automatically; 2 cases of pressure ulcer were cured. Conclusions For patients with malignant tumors, strict condition and nutritional risk assessment before nutritional support treatment, early detection and timely treatment, reduce the non-healing rate and mortality, and improve the prognosis.
