Research Progress of Acupuncture in the Treatment of Insomnia

Abstract: Insomnia is a disease that often troubles people in modern society. Lack of adequate sleep time and good sleep quality coupled with the pressure of daily life constantly produces a vicious circle, causing great damage to people's physical and psychological health. Acupuncture for insomnia is safe, efficient, through the analysis of the literature on the treatment for insomnia by ordinary acupuncture and acupuncture coupled with other methods in the nearly five years,the research progress of filiform acupuncture, special needle acupuncture, acupuncture coupled with moxibustion, acupuncture coupled with massage, acupuncture coupled with cupping and acupuncture coupled with traditional Chinese medicine was further summarized.This thesis brings forward a few problems in the recent research, hoping to provide valuable evidence and enlightenment for clinic.
