Abstract: Objective To study the effect of accelerated partial intensity-modulated radiotherapy for breast cancer after breast conserving surgery. Methods From August 2020 to August 2022, we selected breast cancer patients who received breast conserving surgery in our hospital (n=76) for research. The selected patients were divided into the control group (n=38) and the study group (n=38) by using the random number table method. The control group was treated with conventional therapy, while the research group was treated with accelerated partial breast intensity modulated radiation therapy based on the control group. The living health, anxiety level, recurrence and metastasis of malignant tumors between the two groups were compared. Results Before treatment, there was no difference between the two groups in the scores of the Self Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) for breast cancer patients undergoing breast conserving surgery (KPS) (P>0.05); after treatment, the KPS score of the study group was higher than that of the control group, while the SAS score was lower than that of the control group (P<0.05). The recurrence and metastasis rate of malignant tumor in the study group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Accelerated IMRT for some breast cancer patients can effectively improve their health status after breast conserving surgery, alleviate their anxiety, and have a low risk of recurrence and metastasis.
