Rehabilitation Effect of Kegel Exercise Combined with Acupoint Massage on Patients with Postpartum Urinary Incontinence

Abstract: Objective To investigate the rehabilitation effect of Kegel exercise combined with acupoint massage on postpartum patients with urinary incontinence. Methods A total of 96 patients with postpartum urinary incontinence admitted to the postpartum clinic of the Affiliated Hospital of Binzhou Medical College from March 2021 to September 2022 were selected and randomly divided into control group and experimental group with 48 cases, respectively. The control group received rehabil-itation exercise with Kegel exercise, and the experimental group received rehabilita-tion exercise with Kegel exercise combined with acupoint massage. The recovery effect was observed after 4 weeks. Results The weight of urine pad in the experime-ntal group was lower than that in the control group at 1h, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in self-esteem between the two groups (P>0.05). The quality of life score of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The treatment satisfaction rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Kegel exercise combined with acupoint massage can effectively improve the pelvic floor function, self-confidence and quality of life of patients with postpartum urinary incontinence.
