The Influence of Diet Culture on Children's Nutrition Development and Related Suggestions

Abstract: The Chinese traditional diet culture has a long development history, and plays a vital role in the healthy development of children. Excellent food culture can shape children's correct values, noble moral accomplishment, rich cultural deposits, and social emotions. However, the food culture, such as food waste, and poor cooking methods, may hinder the growth and development of children, and form poor eating behaviors, such as picky eating and partial eating, resulting in dietary imbalance and frequent gastrointestinal food-borne diseases, affecting their physical and mental health. Therefore, developing an excellent diet culture to promote the healthy growth of children's all-round development of body and mind is very important, and this needs the government-related departments, social organizations, families, schools, various groups take efforts together to create a good diet culture environment, promote children to form a correct concept of diet and health behavior.
