Abstract: Objective To study the effect of Wanfu Qutong decoction combined with rabeprazole on the levels of serum gastrin-17 (G-17), carbohydrate antigen 724 (CA724) and pepsinogen (PG) in patients with chronic atrophic gastritis. Methods 70 cases of patients with chronic atrophic gastritis who were treated in Huangling County People's Hospital from January 2019 to December 2021were selected, and divided into two groups(the control group and observation group) according to the random number table method, with 35 cases in each group. The control group was treated with rabeprazole, and the observation group was treated with Wanfu Qutong Decoction on the basis of rabeprazole. The clinical efficacy in the two groups was compared. The levels of serum G-17, CA724 and PG in the two groups were detected, and the scores of TCM symptoms such as epigastric pain, tendency of warmness and pressing, fullness, generalized vomiting of clear water, four limbs burnout and anorexia were evaluated. Results The effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than control group (P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference in the levels of serum G-17, CA724 and PG between the two groups (P>0.05). After treatment, the levels of serum CA724, PGⅠ and G-17 increased significantly (P<0.05), and the level of PGⅡ decreased significantly (P<0.05). The levels of serum CA724, PGⅠ and G-17 in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05), and the level of PGⅡ was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference between the two groups in the scores of epigastric pain, tendency of warmness and pressing, fullness, generalized vomiting of clear water, four limbs burnout and anorexia (P>0.05). After treatment, the scores of the TCM symptoms above in the two groups decreased (P<0.05), and the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Wanfu Qutong decoction combined with rabeprazole has a significant effect on patients with chronic atrophic gastritis. It can effectively regulate the levels of serum G-17, CA724 and PG and reduce the degree of gastric mucosal injury.
