Methods A total of 100 patients with cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type who were admitted to Jianou Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine from January 2020 to January 2022 were selected as the research objects, and they were divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 50 patients in each grop, patients in the control group received manual bone-setting therapy, and patients in the observation group received manual bone-setting combined with regular meridian massage therapy. The clinical efficacy, TCM syndrome scores, blood flow velocity, vertebral artery caliber, and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05); the scores of TCM syndromes such as limb numbness, limited activity, mental fatigue, dizziness and pain in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05); comparison of blood flow velocity and vertebral artery caliber between the two groups before treatment, the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05), the blood flow velocity and vertebral artery caliber were both increased in both groups after treatment, and the observation group was better than The control group (P<0.05); the QLQC30 scores of the two groups before treatment were compared, the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05), the QLQC30 scores of the two groups were improved after treatment, and the observation group was higher than the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Manipulative bone setting combined with regular meridian massage in the treatment of cervical spondylosis can significantly improve clinical efficacy, relieve clinical symptoms, increase blood flow, expand vertebral artery caliber, and improve the quality of life of patients, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
