Abstract: Objective To explore the effect of moxibustion combined with pediatric massage on enlarged mesenteric lymph nodes in children with acute mesenteric lymphadenitis. Methods A total of 96 children with acute mesenteric lymphadenitis who were treated in Yumen Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from March 2020 to March 2022 were prospectively selected as the research subjects. According to the random number table method, the children were divided into a traditional Chinese medicine group and a control group with 48 cases in each group. The control group were given routine required treatment, and the traditional Chinese medicine group were given moxibustion combined with pediatric massage on the basis of the treatment of the control group. Treatment and observation for 10 days, record the changes of enlarged mesenteric lymph nodes. Results After treatment, the total effective rates of the traditional Chinese medicine group were higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). The longitudinal and transverse diameters of mesenteric enlarged lymph nodes in the two groups after treatment were significantly smaller than those before treatment (P<0.05), and the TCM group was smaller than that in the control group (P<0.05). The disappearance time of fever, abdominal pain, vomiting, loss of appetite and other symptoms in the traditional Chinese medicine group was significantly shorter than that in the control group (P<0.05). The proportions of CD3+T lymphocytes and CD4+T lymphocytes in the two groups after treatment were significantly higher than those before treatment (P<0.05), and the TCM group was also significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). The serum IgG and IgA contents in the two groups after treatment were significantly higher than those before treatment (P<0.05), and the TCM group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Moxibustion combined with pediatric massage in the treatment of children with acute mesenteric lymphadenitis can improve the children's humoral immune function and cellular immune function, reduce the swelling of mesenteric swollen lymph nodes, and improve the overall clinical treatment effect.
