Effect of TCM Syndrome Differentiation Nursing Combined with Family Support on Daily Living Ability of Schizophrenic Patients

Abstract

Abstract: Objective To explore the effect of TCM syndrome differentiation nursing combined with family support on the ability of daily living of patients with schizophrenia. Methods 90 patients with schizophrenia treated in Henan Provincial Psychiatric Hospital from February 2020 to February 2022 were selected as the main research objects. All patients were divided into observation group and control group by random number table, with 45 cases in each group. The patients in the control group received routine nursing and the patients in the observation group received TCM syndrome differentiation nursing combined with family support. The negative and positive symptoms of PANSS, the ability of daily living and social ability of the patients in the two groups and the satisfaction of their families were compared. Results There was no significant difference in the scores of PANSS between the two groups before nursing (P>0.05). After nursing, the scores of PANSS in the two groups decreased significantly, and the scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Before nursing, there was no significant difference in the scores of Social Deficiency Screening Scale (SDSS) and Activities of Daily Living (ADL) between the two groups of patients (P>0.05). After nursing, the scores of social function deficiency screening scale (SDSS) and activity of daily living scale (ADL) in the two groups decreased significantly, and the scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The nursing satisfaction of the patients in the observation group was significantly higher than in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of TCM syndrome differentiation nursing combined with family support for schizophrenic patients can further reduce the clinical symptoms of patients, improve their daily living ability and social function, and the satisfaction of family members is high, which is worthy of clinical application.
