The Application and Effectiveness Observation of the Kid Headed Teaching Model in Clinical Nursing Teaching

Abstract: Objective To explore the application and effectiveness of the kid headed teaching model in clinical nursing teaching. Methods 80 undergraduate and above intern nursing students from Weifang Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from July 2022 to September 2023 were enrolled through convenience sampling method, and were randomly divided into an experimental group (n=40) and a control group (n=40). The control group adopted conventional teaching methods, while the experimental group added the kid headed teaching model under conventional teaching for a period of 4 weeks. And the effectiveness of the kid headed teaching model in clinical nursing education was observed by using nursing student self-directed learning ability score, nursing student self-efficacy score, nursing student satisfaction and patient satisfaction, and nursing student assessment score. Results a teaching plan based on the kid headed teaching model was formed. The various indicators of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion The application of the kid headed teaching model can significantly improve the ability of nursing interns to combine theory and practice, laying an effective foundation for entering clinical nursing work.
