Abstract: Objective To explore the value of systematic and standardized "clinical thinking and decision making" training in enhancing the ability of clinical thinking and decision making during the standardized training of residents in medical imaging. Methods The medical imaging residents who entered the standardized training base of Radiology residents in the First People's Hospital of Zigong, Sichuan Province, in August 2021 for rotation study were selected. The acquisition of clinical thinking and decision making ability of the residents before and after the training was evaluated through the form of simulated skill assessment. Results After three months of training, the simulation assessment results indicated that the residents exhibited significant improvements in aspects such as general information, sign description, sign analysis, feature induction, differential diagnosis, related knowledge expansion, and communication and expression ability, etc(P<0.05). Conclusion The implementation of "clinical thinking and decision-making" system training plays a positive role in improving the comprehensive ability of medical imaging residents ,and is highly beneficial for the assessment of clinical practice ability upon graduation.
