Abstract: Objective To study the therapeutic effect of Gongyanping capsule combined with ceftriaxone sodium on patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease. Methods A total of 100 patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease admitted to Qishan County Hospital from January 2020 to December 2021 were selected as the study objects, and randomly divided into control group and observation group with 50 cases in each group by drawing lot. The control group was treated with ceftriaxone sodium alone, while the observation group was treated with Gongyanping capsule. To evaluate the efficacy, compare the volume of pelvic fluid accumulation and the diameter of inflammatory masses in pelvic appendages between the two groups, and detect the serum levels of interleukin-6 (IL-6), monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1), C-reactive protein (CRP), matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2), interleukin-10 (IL-10), and evaluate the symptom scores of both groups of patients. Results The effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the amount of pelvic fluid accumulation and the diameter of inflammatory masses in pelvic appendages in both groups were significantly reduced (P<0.05), and the observation group were lower (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of serum IL-6, MCP-1, and CRP in both groups were significantly decreased (P<0.05), while the levels of MMP-2 and IL-10 were significantly increased (P<0.05). The levels of serum IL-6, MCP-1, and CRP in the observation group were significantly lower(P<0.05), while the levels of MMP-2 and IL-10 were significantly higher(P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of menstrual irregularities, lower abdominal pain, and excessive vaginal discharge in both groups were significantly reduced (P<0.05), and the scores of menstrual irregularities, lower abdominal pain, and excessive vaginal discharge in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The combination of Gongyanping Capsules and Ceftriaxone Sodium has a significant therapeutic effect on chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, which can alleviate the adhesion state of pelvic tissue, reduce inflammatory reactions in the body, and improve the symptoms of patients. It is worth application.
