Abstract: Objective To explore and analysis the effects of pre assembled hydrophobic acrylic intraocular lenses and coaxial micro incisions on age-related cataracts. Methods 80 age-related cataract patients diagnosed in Lantian Huayang Eye Hospital from August 2020 to May 2023 were selected as the study subjects and divided into control group and study group according to the random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. All operations were performed by the same physician, and pre assembled hydrophobic acrylic intraocular lenses were implanted. The study group underwent 2.2mm coaxial clear corneal tunnel microincision, and the control group underwent 3.0 mm clear corneal tunnel incision. Recorded the optimal correction, complications, corneal astigmatism, and changes in anterior chamber depth between the study group and the control group. Results The optimal corrected visual acuity of the study group at 1 week and 1 month after surgery were higher than that of the control group (P<0.05), and the highest corrected visual acuity of the study group and the control group at 1 month after surgery showed a statistically significant increase compared to 1 week after surgery (P<0.05). The incidence of complications such as corneal edema, endophthalmitis, lens opacity, and capsule damage in the study group were 7.50% one month after surgery, compared to 25.00% in the control group. The incidence of complications in the study group one month after surgery were significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). The corneal astigmatism of the study group were lower than that of the control group at 1 week and 1 month after surgery (P<0.05), and there were a statistically significant decrease in corneal astigmatism at 1 month after surgery compared to the control group (P<0.05). The anterior chamber depth of the study group were higher than that of the control group at 1 week and 1 month after surgery (P<0.05), and there were no statistically significant difference between the study group and the control group at 1 month and 1 week after surgery (P>0.05). Conclusion The application of pre assembled hydrophobic acrylic intraocular lens combined with coaxial micro-incision in patients with age-related cataract will not affect the depth of the patient's anterior chamber, and can reduce the corneal astigmatism, improve the postoperative vision of the patient, and reduce the incidence of complications.
