Abstract: Objective To explore and analyze the clinical efficacy of sodium zirconate cyclosilicate powder combined with traditional potassium lowering therapy in the treatment of hyperkalemia in patients with chronic renal failure. Methods 70 patients of chronic renal failure with hyperkalemia admitted to Qianxi People's Hospital from January 2021 to August 2023 were selected as the study subjects, and divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 35 cases in each group. The control group was treated with traditional potassium lowering regimen, while the observation group was treated with sodium zirconium silicate powder combined with traditional potassium lowering regimen. The two groups of patients were compared before treatment and after 24 hours of treatment The blood potassium level, serum creatinine, urea nitrogen and other renal function indicators at 48 hours, the incidence of adverse reactions during treatment, and the total effective rate of treatment. Results There was no statistically significant difference in blood potassium levels between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05). At 24 and 48 hours of treatment, the observation group was lower than the control group(P<0.05); There was no statistically significant difference in the levels of serum creatinine, urea nitrogen and other renal function indicators between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05). At 24 and 48 hours of treatment, the observation group was lower than the control group(P<0.05);The incidence of adverse reactions during treatment was lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05);The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion The combination of sodium zirconate cyclosilicate powder and traditional potassium lowering therapy has a significant clinical effect on the treatment of hyperkalemia in patients with chronic renal failure. It can not only effectively reduce the levels of blood potassium and renal function in the patient's body, but also improve their discomfort symptoms, with high safety, and is worthy of clinical application and promotion.
