Research Progress of Chinese and Western Medicine on Hypothyroidism Infertility

Abstract

Abstract: Hypothyroidism is an endocrine disorder that affects the synthesis and secretion of thyroid hormones for various reasons, and is a common reason of infertility.For the past few years, the increasing incidence rate of infertility has aroused people's concern year by year.The high incidence of infertility not only causes physical and mental pain to patients, but also brings financial burden to families. It has become a highly concerned issue in society and clinic. At present, Western medicine treatment of hypothyroidism infertility is mainly ovulation induction drugs and thyroid hormone replacement therapy, which may appear hyperthyroidism, angina pectoris, palpitations and skeletal muscle spasm and other issues. As an effective means of treating hypothyroidism infertility, Traditional Chinese medicine combined with Western medicine can achieve the effect of complementing each other. Accordingly, this article reviews the research progress of Chinese and Western medicine on hypothyroidism infertility.
