Abstract: Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of Qinlian Yuyang decoction combined with non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) on duodenal ulcer and its effect on pepsin Ⅰ (PG Ⅰ) and human β2 defensin 2 (HBD-2). Methods Selected 80 duodenal ulcer patients admitted to Gansu Baiyin Central Hospital from August 2020 to May 2023, and randomly divided into observation group and control group, 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional quadruple therapy and ibuprofen for analgesia, while the observation group was treated with Qinlian Yuyang Decoction on the basis of the control group. The clinical efficacy of the two groups were compared, the changes of TCM syndrome score before and after treatment were compared, and the expression levels of PG Ⅰ and HBD-2 were compared. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference in the TCM syndrome scores related to wrist abdominal pain or fullness, nausea, stupidity, short yellow urine, dry mouth, and bitter mouth between the two groups (P>0.05). After treatment, the TCM syndrome scores related to wrist abdominal pain or fullness, nausea, stupidity, short yellow urine, dry mouth, and bitter mouth in the two groups decreased, and the observation group was lower than the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the levels of PG Ⅰ and HBD-2 between the two groups before treatment (P>0.05). After treatment, PGI and HBD-2 levels were reduced in both groups, and the observation group was lower than the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Qinlian Yuyang decoction combined with NSAIDs has a significant therapeutic effect on duodenal ulcer, which can reduce the clinical symptoms, reduce inflammatory reaction and improve gastrointestinal function.
