Research Progress of Hope Level and Self-Management Ability of Elderly Patients with Diabetes Mellitus

Abstract

Abstract: Hope level is a dynamic and intrinsic therapeutic force, and individual attitudes and behaviors will be changed because of hope. Hope level is associated with self-management ability, and positive hope will enhance patients' self-management awareness, and scientific self-management can regulate patients' own behaviors. We review the concepts, measurement tools, influencing factors, and clinical applications of hope and self-management ability in elderly diabetic patients, aiming to effectively improve patients' clinical indicators and promote the hope of curing the disease.
