Observation on the Effect of Acupoint Application of Tongbian Paste on Prospective Prevention of Constipation in Young and Middle-Aged Patients with Myocardial Infarction

Abstract

Abstract: Objective To observe the curative effect of point application of Tongbei ointment on prospective prevention of constipation in young and middle-aged myocardial infarction patients. Methods A total of 90 young and middle-aged patients with myocardial infarction under 60 years admitted to Suzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2021 to December 2022 were enrolled were randomly divided into experimental group and control group, 45 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine nursing, and the experimental group was treated with acupoint application of the self-made laxative paste. The two groups were evaluated by the constipation Patient Symptom Self-Rating Scale (PAC-SYM), constipation TCM Syndrome Score and Emotion Scale (SAS, SDS) during hospitalization. Results After intervention, the PAC-SYM score, constipation TCM syndrome score and the abnormal number of mood scale in the experimental group decreased significantly than the control group (P <0.05), and the incidence of constipation was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The prospective prevention of constipation in young and middle-aged patients with myocardial infarction can significantly improve the self-evaluation of defecation symptoms, TCM syndrome evaluation and negative emotion regulation, which is worth of application.
