A Study on Wei Yingwu's Poetry Related to Medicine

Abstract: Wei Yingwu, a famous poet in Tang Dynasty, composed a large number of "medicine-related" poems, including medical theory, health care, medicine and pharmaceuticals. Wei's "medicine-related" poems are abstract but originated from practice, which reflects a profound understanding of the nature of medicine, presenting the trend of literati learning medical knowledge in Tang Dynasty; This article is comprehensively analysising the motivation, literary technics and poetic value of Wei's medicine-related poems, in order to update more materials and details to the study of Chinese medicine history and medical culture history.
