Study on the Effect of Massage along the Meridian Combined with Fire Dragon Pot Comprehensive Therapy in the Treatment of Cervical Spondylosis of Wind-cold Obstruction Type

Abstract

Abstract: Objective To explore the effect of meridian massage combined with fire dragon pot comprehensive therapy on cervical spondylosis of wind-cold obstruction type. Methods From January 2021 to December 2021, 74 cases of cervical spondylosis patients diagnosed and treated in Mudan District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Heze City were prospectively selected. The patients were divided into two groups, with 37 cases in the fire dragon can group and 37 cases in the traditional group according to randomized numbers. The traditional group were given meridian massage therapy, and the fire dragon pot group were given fire dragon cupping treatment on the basis of the treatment of the traditional group. The two groups were treated and observed for 14 days, and the curative effects of the two groups were compared, before and after treatment, the pain severity score, the disease score, and the change of inflammatory factors IL-6 and TNF-α. Results The total effective rate after treatment in the dragon pot group was 97.3%, which was significantly higher than that in the traditional group (78.4%). Before treatment, there were no significant differences in the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) score, disease score, serum IL-6 and TNF-α levels between the two groups (P>0.05). After treatment, the VAS score of two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment (P<0.05), and the score in the fire dragon pot group was also significantly lower than that of the traditional group (P<0.05). Compared with the traditional group, the serum IL-6 and TNF-α levels in the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment (P<0.05), and both were was also significantly lower in the dragon pot group than the traditional group(P<0.05). Conclusion Meridian massage combined with fire dragon pot comprehensive therapy in the treatment of wind-cold obstruction type cervical spondylosis can inhibit the levels of IL-6 and TNF-α, and can effectively promote the relief of the patients' condition and pain, thereby improving the overall therapeutic effect.
