Effect of Yunnan Baiyao Capsule Assisted with Percutaneous Minimally Invasive Internal Fixation on Healing of Tibial Plateau Fracture

Abstract: Objective To investigate and analyze the effect of Yunnan Baiyao capsule assisted with percutaneous minimally invasive internal fixation on the healing of tibial plateau fracture. Method From February 2020 to December 2022, 108 cases of patients with tibial plateau fractures who were diagnosed and treated at Xining Hang Seng Bone Hospital were selected as the research subjects. Accorded to a random number table method, 108 patients were divided into Baiyao group of 54 cases and traditional group of 54 cases. Both groups were treated with minimally invasive internal fixation. The traditional group were treated with routine treatment after surgery, and the Baiyao group were treated with Yunnan Baiyao capsule on the basis of the traditional group. The fracture healing of patients were observed and recorded. Result There were no significant differences in surgical time, intraoperative bleeding volume, and intraoperative fluoroscopy frequency compared between the two groups (P>0.05), while the postoperative hospitalization time of Baiyao group was shorter than that of the traditional group, with statistically significant diference (P<0.05). The fracture healing time of Baiyao group were significantly shorter than that of traditional group, with statistically significant diferences (P<0.05). The excellent and good efficacy rates of Baiyao group were higher than the traditional group, with statistically significant diferences (P<0.05). At 6 months after treatment, the incidence of complications such as urinary retention, incision infection, pulmonary infection, were significantly lower than that in the traditional group (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of Yunnan Baiyao capsule assisted percutaneous minimally invasive internal fixation in patients with tibial plateau fracture can promote the recovery of patients, shorten the fracture healing time of patients, reduce the incidence of complications of patients, and improve the prognosis of patients as a whole.
