The Clinical Study for the Dengyin Naotong Capsule on the Patients with Cerebral Small Vessel Disease Associated Cognitive Disorders

Abstract: Objective To observe the clinical treatment effect of Dengyin Naotong capsule for the cerebral small vessel dissease associated cognitive disorder. Methods Total of 105 patients with cerebral small vessel disease associated cognitive disorder treated in Zibo the Fifth Peoples’ Hospital from Jun 2021 to Jun 2022 were selected and subgroped into rotuine treatment group (ROT, n=53) and TCM treatment group (TCM, n=52) according to random number table method. The patients in ROT group were treated with anti-atherosclerosis and anti-platelet aggregation, while in TCM group were additionally treated with Dengyin Natong capsule on the basis of the ROT group, and both two group were treated for 12 weeks. The cognitive function status, self-care ability and balance and gait efficacy of the two groups were compared and analysed. Results Before treatment, there was no significant difference in Montreal Cognitive Assessment Test (MOCA) scores, Ability of Daily Living (ADL) scores and Tinetti Performance Oriented Mobility Assessment (POMA) scores between the two group patients (P>0.05). After treatment, all the MoCA scores, ADL scores and POMA scores of TCM group were significantly higher than those in ROT group (P<0.05). Conclusion Denyin Naotong capsule could improve the cognitive function, self-care ability and balance and gait efficacy of patients with cerebral small vessel disease.
